The Naples office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience and outstanding academic credentials to join our highly regarded Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. The ideal candidate will be nimble and efficient, with the ability to contribute at a high level both as part of a larger team and by managing cases on their own from start to finish. We are looking for candidates who are ready to work toward their long-term goals of developing and growing their legal practice.
Responsibilities
· Manage cases from inception to conclusion.
· Conduct factual investigations and research, interact with clients.
· Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery.
· Research relevant case law, statutes and regulations.
· Prepare for and conduct depositions, argue motions.
· Conduct and manage all aspect of discovery, including e-discovery.
· Prepare for, assist in and conduct hearings and trials.
· Assist in business development and marketing opportunities.

· Should be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and be in good standing

Join a sophisticated and fast-paced work environment, working alongside litigation attorneys during all phases of the litigation process, including the commencement of the case, motions practice, discovery, evidentiary hearings, trial preparation, trials, post-trial filings and appeals. Assist with the receipt, processing, review and production of information in discovery. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters.
This is an in-office position located in Naples, Florida.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Process and index documents, including Bates-stamping, redactions, duplication and de-duplication. • Set up, maintain and organize case materials chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter. Prepare summaries and lists of facts and documents. • Create and maintain electronic case databases, run searches, retrieve files, prepare reports, and cull relevant information. • Provide technical support and data management for the discovery process, including data identification, collection, review, analysis, and production. Oversee discovery process and work effectively with e-discovery vendors to achieve desired outcomes. • Conduct factual research using a variety of resources, including social media, internet research, newspapers, magazines, libraries, case documents and other external sources. • Prepare privilege logs. • Assist attorneys in preparing and conducting depositions. Gather and prepare documents relevant to deponents, organize and handle exhibits before and during depositions, and digest and summarize deposition transcripts. • Assist with motions practice. Collect relevant documents, proofread papers, organize exhibits and create document indices in the preparation for filing. • Prepare and submit electronic and hard-copy court filings. Create, bind and distribute copies. • Prepare for and assist with evidentiary hearings and trials. Organize exhibits, files and all other supporting documents, coordinate trial set-up and logistics, assist attorneys in the courtroom by taking notes, handling exhibits, and marking documents referred to by counsel, assist in the preparation of witness testimony and serve as liaison between trial attorneys and in-house staff.
