Head of AI - Biotech

This is a hands-on leadership role that is well suited to an AI expert that truly wants to make a difference.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the technical founders to drive model development from concept to deployment.
Build and lead a small, high-performance AI team.
Contribute directly to all phases: model architecture, experimentation, infrastructure, and evaluation.
Shape the company's long-term AI roadmap.
PhD in ML, AI, Computational Biology, or related field, or equivalent experience in postdoctoral or industry roles.
Experience in building modern AI architectures, especially transformers and multimodal models.
Healthcare or biomedical data is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
Comfortable in fast-moving, high-autonomy start-up environments.
Based in or willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area.
Affiliation with leading research institutions (e.g., Dana-Farber, Broad, MSKCC, Mount Sinai, Penn etc.).
Publications or open-source contributions in machine learning or computational biology.
