As Human Resources Compliance Manager, you will monitor legislation and respond to business needs that impact HR and Global Policy. In this role, you will recommend policy changes based on external best practices, benchmarking, business impact, and compliance with country/local laws. You will also conduct proactive compliance audits and respond to audit requests presented to the HR Shared Services organization, as needed, throughout the year.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative professionals, including attorneys, to navigate current and evolving regulations. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people and communication skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

Policy Work:

• Thorough understanding of all existing Global, U.S. and Canadian HR policies including how they apply to our associates and being able to answer questions about policies when asked by our leaders and HR Business Partners.
• Work with HR Compliance Manager to monitor changing laws and regulations and analyzing if and how they impact our associates and current policies.
• Work with internal HR stakeholders to make sure our policy is consistent with practice (example, in Time and Attendance system, or in LOA process collateral).
• Respond to business requests for policy changes/needs.
• Regularly meet with in-house counsel to discuss and review proposed policy changes.
• Prepare presentations for sharing proposed policy changes with Senior Leadership (why change is needed; what change are we proposing; what is the impact to ADP).
• Draft and manage communications to impacted groups regarding policy changes (HRBPs, managers, associates).
• Own annual Labor poster audit process.
• Own new hire notice compliance.
• Draft quarterly newsletter and presentations on policy updates and jointly present to HR Business Partners quarterly on policy and compliance updates with Compliance Manager.
• Maintain the HRBP Quarterly Policy and Compliance Update SharePoint site where all presentations and newsletters are stored.
• Be responsible for administration of Policy Management tool, including maintaining list of local/in-country Site-Admins.
• Own the Policy Intake Form/Process and Responsibilities of Policy Owners SOP (including Policy on Policies)
• Assist with current electronic policy assignment and acknowledgement process to new hires, and ad hoc.
• Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all Policy- related projects

Audit Work:

• Initiate audits of existing practices in HR/Compliance space. Assess existing controls (self-reviews/audits); implement measures to enhance controls or close gaps/perceived gaps as needed.
• Respond to audit requests to the GHRSS organization, including factfinding, reviewing existing SOPS/controls, creating feasible management responses to any gaps identified, and implementing the proposed responses. More specifically:
• Work with Subject Matter area/ Control Owners to guide them through the requirements of the audit/ testing activities related to the security controls management process.
• Create and maintain templates and standard operating procedures aligning with applicable policy, standard, and compliance requirements.
• Liaise between Auditors and Subject Matter area/ Control Owners to develop management responses to audit findings and increase maturity and effectiveness of existing controls.
• Support the Control Owner(s) when control failures occur to ensure control remediations are documented and executed upon.

Experience. You have 8+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• 5+ years of employment law or HR-related experience in either compliance or audit domain.
• Extensive experience tracking legislative changes
• Expertise in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs for data analysis.
• Strong PowerPoint skills, including experience presenting policies and updates to senior leaders, business partners, and stakeholders.
• Experience creating SOPs, and documenting and managing processes.
• Detail-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills and ability to manage multi-track project planning, execution, and implementation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills, and relationship-building skills.
• Effective problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
• You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

For additional comfortability in the role:

• Strong global background; experience working for a global company
• Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
• PMP certification
