Lead Financial Advisor

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $125,000–$140,000 base + variable bonus (target all-in: ~$170,000 first year)

Structure: Full-time, in-office

The Opportunity:

This is a producer-focused Lead Advisor role. While you’ll have limited engagement with an existing book of clients, your primary focus will be on business development and delivering exceptional planning for new relationships. You won’t be required to bring over a book, but you will need to bring energy, drive, and a proven track record of growing client relationships over the last 7–10 years. Over time, your impact on the business may open up deeper leadership or partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sophisticated, comprehensive financial planning to a growing base of high-net-worth clients
  • Lead client conversations with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
  • Uncover and pursue opportunities to expand relationships and assets under management
  • Integrate insurance as part of holistic planning when appropriate
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure seamless client service
  • Contribute to the mentorship and development of junior staff
  • Deliver consistently on compliance, ethics, and regulatory standards

What You Bring:

  • 7–10+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor with a strong business development track record
  • Ability to advise across full balance sheet: investments, cash flow, insurance, tax, real estate, credit, and retirement planning
  • Strong grasp of tax rules, planning strategies, and investment principles
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high personal accountability and follow-through
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to team leadership
  • Clean U4 and commitment to fiduciary-level service
  • Credentials: Series 7, 66 (or equivalent), and NC Life & Health license required; CFP, CFA, CPA, or JD strongly preferred
