Job Description

DHCS Certified Master Trainer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and credentialed DHCS Certified Master Trainer to conduct critical compliance site reviews and support healthcare quality improvement efforts across a network of facilities in California. This role blends leadership, healthcare operations expertise, and regulatory training skills in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, collaboration, and independent initiative are essential.

This role is onsite in Pleasanton, California.

DHCS Certified Master Trainer Responsibilities

  • Independently schedule and lead Facility Site Reviews (FSR), Medical Record Reviews (MRR), and Physical Accessibility Reviews (PAR) to meet state compliance standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports, ensure timely submission of findings, and track resolution of corrective action plans per regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain certification through participation in required state training and stay up to date on regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Partner with internal departments and facility staff to ensure survey readiness and successful completion of internal and external audits.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to internal teams, leveraging subject matter expertise in compliance, quality assurance, and healthcare operations.

DHCS Certified Master Trainer Qualifications

  • Current California certification as a MCQMD Certified Master Trainer or MCQMD Certified Site Reviewer.
  • Valid California license as a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Medical Doctor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field and at least 7 years of relevant experience; or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting DHCS facility site reviews or related audits.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience and proficiency in managing healthcare data using spreadsheets and databases.

Salary: $174k–$256k/year.
