Position Overview

Location: Colleyville, TX (In-Person)

Status: Full-Time | Starting $55K-and Based on Experience

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (In-person)
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours as required during peak event periods

LATINA Style , Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Special Projects & Events Coordinator to manage the successful execution of our national events and special initiatives. This role involves full-cycle event management, from ideation and planning to post-event evaluation, requiring exceptional organizational, vendor management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and demonstrate passion for creating high-impact, meaningful experiences for our participants, corporate partners, and community leaders. Enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and or oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of signature LATINA Style events, including the LATINA Style 50 Awards , National LATINA Symposium , and LATINA Style Business Series.
  • Understand event objectives and translate them into actionable plans aligned with business and community goals.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive event budgets, timelines, and logistics.
  • Research, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors (venues, A/V, catering, décor, photography, videography, etc.) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate venue bookings, program schedules, speakers, panelists, and participant communications.
  • Oversee all day event operations, conducting final checks and troubleshooting issues in real time.
  • Create meeting agendas, team itineraries, and briefing documents.
  • Collaborate on media relations, including coordinating interviews and managing press presence.
  • Write and distribute press releases and manage event-related communications.
  • Support website content updates and maintain event databases.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an event coordinator, preferably with national programs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, high-profile events.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized and capable of multitasking under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with event platforms and virtual event management tools.
  • Knowledge of vendor recruitment and contracting practices.
  • Experience working with VIPs, corporate executives, and community leaders.
  • Passion for empowering communities and contributing to mission-driven initiatives.
