Job Title: Surgery Scheduler

Location: Plano, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our growing administrative team in Plano, TX. This role is key to coordinating surgical procedures and providing a seamless, supportive experience for patients preparing for surgery. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates clearly, and has a strong background in healthcare scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate all surgical procedures.
• Confirm and verify surgical details including date, time, location, and required pre-op/post-op instructions.
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, pre-op requirements, financial responsibilities, and insurance authorizations.
• Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and insurance coordinators to ensure all documentation and clearances are completed timely.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for surgical procedures.
• Accurately maintain patient scheduling data and information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Follow up with patients regarding any changes or updates to their surgical schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish
• 2+ years of scheduling experience (preferably in healthcare)
• Medical or healthcare background

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW)
• Experience in bariatrics
• Prior experience working in a physician’s office
