Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Technical Product Owner to join their team! This position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Duties:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for the Data and BI Scrum team, ensuring continuous refinement of features and user stories
  • Translate business vision and reporting needs into actionable product roadmaps, epics, and user stories
  • Define and maintain clear acceptance criteria to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business analysts, BI developers, report consumers, and solution architects to gather, document, and validate data and reporting requirements
  • Lead conversations to understand analytical needs, propose technical solutions, and prioritize deliverables based on business impact
  • Align reporting and data use cases with existing data architecture and governance frameworks
  • Actively engage in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and PI planning
  • Partner closely with developers, QA, and the Scrum Master to ensure efficient execution and continuous process improvement
  • Review and validate data products for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with acceptance criteria prior to release
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies regularly to stakeholders and leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for backlog prioritization and issue resolution related to data products

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ plus years of experience as a Technical Product Owner
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS Redshift
  • Experience working on Big Data projects, with a solid understanding of data modeling concepts and architecture
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with data architects and engineers
  • Background in the financial services or insurance industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with other technologies such as Hadoop is also acceptable
  • Working knowledge of Tableau or similar BI tools

The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $65.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
